Havana, IL, a small river community about 45
miles southwest of Peoria, was the original
home for the Midwest Cigar Summit.  With a
successful run from April 2004 through the
summer of 2006, The Havana Cigar Fest, as it
was than known, quickly gained critical acclaim
as a laid back herf.  With the help of Havana's
economic development director, Terry Svob,
Havana hosted cigar enthusiasts from around
the region, pumping tourism dollars into the
quaint town.  Havana is still an outstanding
destination, with the Illinois River as a
backdrop for it's quaint shops, restaurants,
and scenery.  It's well worth the drive to enjoy
a cigar on a Sunday afternoon at The Pub or
Stag Tap.  For more information on Havana,
