The Metropolitan Cigar Society, located in
Fairfield, NJ, just west of Manhattan, is a
model for all private cigar clubs in the
country.  Founded in 1994, the Metro is the
oldest non commercial establishment of its
kind in the US.  It gives cigar enthusiasts a
refuge to enjoy their hobby and not worry
about dirty looks or caustic comments.  It
encompasses 4,300 square feet, and
include a main lounge, a "quiet area",
kitchen facilities, a game room, a walk in
humidor with 190 lockers, and the new La
Cubana Room, home of their famous
monthly dinners, which draws some of the
