The Midwest Cigar Summit is pleased to announce a variety of specials and samplings to add memorable features to
the event.
On Friday, July 30th, join us for a beer tasting hosted by Brewers Distributing. Sample some of Goose Island’s best
beers, including their India Pale Ale, Honkers Ale, and 312 Urban Wheat Ale. Goose Island has been featured at each
Midwest Cigar Summit, and it’s a pleasure to be able to introduce cigar enthusiasts to one of the best craft beers in the
country.
On Saturday, July 31st, from 3 – 5 PM, Baumgarten Distributing will host a sampling featuring some of the most sought
after beers from around the world. Sample two of Leinenkugel’s best offerings, their Summer Shandy and Honey
Weiss, both brewed in Chippewa Falls, Wisconsin. Abita Brewery recently introduced their Jockmo Indiana Pale Ale,
brewed fresh in Abita Springs, LA. Anchor Brewing Company, located in San Francisco, will be sampling their porter, a
rich, full beer that has a surprisingly sweet finish. For something different, try Peroni Nastro Azzurro, Italy’s finest beer.
We’re also featuring Franziskaner Weissbier, brewed in Munich Germany.
On the cigar end, STL Cigars, and owner Scott Biancardi, will be running specials on Arganese Cigars. For festival
goers who purchase 3 Arganese Cigars, you will receive one free. Cigars For Aficionados will be running the same
special on Alec Bradley Cigars. As an added bonus, Alec Bradley’s midwest sales manager, Christopher Manso, will be
in attendance to talk about his brand on Friday night.
Gene Arganese, owner of Arganese Cigars, was scheduled to attend this year’s event; however he will be unable to
attend. As some of you may know, Gene is recovering from recent open heart surgery. Recovery is going well, but it is
a long process. He wanted me to pass along a message of apology, but he’ll be back and ready to go next year to
hang with all his friends at the Midwest Cigar Summit. Arganese Cigars has graciously donated some fabulous raffle
prizes in Gene’s absence.
